Ethno Art Gallery

Exhibition activity of The Department for the Preservation, Reconstruction and Lending of Traditional Costumes has been spontaneously developing through the years. Its primal purpouse is to present Croatian traditional culture, but also traditional cultures around the globe. On Department's exhibitions rare and unique items of traditional costumes are shown for the public, but also their usage within folklore groups and ensembles. Various space and time segments are pervaded through ethnographic exhibitions which are both cultural and educational.

By increasing Department's traditional costume collection there was an evident need for starting up an exhibition space. Ethno Art Gallery was opened in 2013. in Baruna Trenka Street no.1 in Zagreb as a multipurpose space where various exhibitions, seminars, lectures and workshops are being held for children and adults. Since it was opened, Ethno Art Gallery presented over fifty exhibitions and events.
